I use this pad as a changing pad, a blanket, and a spot for my baby to sleep when she is on our bed (to prevent spit-up and pee from getting onto our bed and to keep her warm and cozy). I have washed it several times using Eucalan wool wash, and it continues to be soft and lovely.

(More customer reviews)These are like a very thick percale type fabric, not a knit, not stretchy. They are not silky like a high quality eqyptian sheet, but still very nice, good feel to them. We own a very big Naturepedic 255 mattress, with a mattress pad on top, also Naturepedic, which barely fit in our crib, and this sheet fit. I own it in ginger and I have to say it is a pretty strong color. I like it, but definitely be aware you are buying a strong color.

I couldn't stand the look of the huge diaper pail. This is perfect, it slips over the diaper pail and covers it to make it look like such a pretty decorative accessory! It makes my nursery look beautiful and complete now. It's very easy to use. I slip it on and when I need to change the diaper pail, I slip it off. When it gets dirty, which it rarely does, I wash and dry it in the washer and dryer. My friends comment on how super attractive it is, and the kids love the cute bear face decoration.

Miracle Blanket -Baby Swaddling Blanket -Beige Review

(More customer reviews)I must admit that in the past I haven't had the best luck with products containing "miracle" in their name. However, this blanket is the shining exception!
Our son was a very big boy -- 10 lb, 6 oz of joy. We had read Harvey Karp's "The Happiest Baby on the Block" (highly recommended) and we knew we wanted to swaddle him. We had planned to use a receiving blanket, but we quickly found out that none of them were remotely big enough. Not even close. We spent a ton of money buying bigger blankets, and we tried two other expensive swaddling blankets as well. Nothing worked, nothing held the baby, and all three of us were desperate to get some sleep. We even bought a cheap sheet set and tore it up to get some bigger patches of cloth. No dice.
Finally, I ordered this blanket online (Amazon didn't carry it at the time, alas.) BINGO -- our son slept through the night at once! Yes! We had to wake him from a sound, swaddled sleep to change and feed him; he went back down like a rock as soon as we re-swaddled him. He loved this blanket. When he saw us coming with it, he'd try to lie quietly with his arms in his sides in anticipation of the (very simple) process of swaddling him up. And I loved the fact that this blanket was so soft and comforting and had no snaps or any other fasteners that could rub him.
I should mention that the two new parents I gave this to as a shower gift were pathetically grateful, and couldn't stop gushing. I understand; for a new parent, anything that grants you sleep is your favorite thing in the world.
A note to parents considering this blanket: Be prepared for some of your friends (especially the childless ones) to recoil in horror at the thought of swaddling. "You're tying your baby up?" "What if he suffocates?" "But he won't be able to move! It's cruel!", etc., etc. These people probably mean well, but their comments are very ignorant. The fact is, your baby has just spent months in the most confined space imaginable -- a womb where he could barely budge at all. And new parents will immediately notice that newborn babies have virtually no control over their newly freed arms -- they'll startle themselves from sleep time and again, then start flailing their hands around and scratching their faces raw. Newborns don't have the neurological control to stop themselves from flailing, so they love it when you return them to the safe, warm, familiar confinement they remember from the womb.
Another comment you'll hear from some people is, "How do you know when the baby doesn't need to be swaddled any more?" Easy. They start to wriggle out of the swaddling. They may not be able to talk, but they'll let you know clearly when they're ready to move on.

Carters Super Soft Bumper Review

(More customer reviews)I held off on buying a bumper because of the SIDS risk. I eventually bought a breathable bumper to keep my son from putting his arms and legs through the crib bars. However, he still constantly banged into the sides of the crib with his head all night. Since he is now nine months old, I decided he could have a real bumper in his crib and purchased this one. This bumper is wonderfully soft and plush. We have a sleigh crib and I was worried it would not fit, but it fit perfectly! The best thing of all is that our son no longer is banging his head into the crib and waking himself up at night. He is getting much better sleep now and I think he actually feels more secure now that he feels more "enclosed." This bumper is great and was a great price (much less than buying a bedding set.) It goes great with my Carter's jersey sheets. I highly recommend it!

Breathable Baby Universal Crib Bumper Review

(More customer reviews)When I was pregnant and shopping for the nursery, I was torn between what type of bumper to buy. One one hand I liked the softness of the Carter's brand bumper, but I liked the "breathable" bumper because my daughter was born in the beginning of summer and I wanted her to stay as cool as possible; so I bought the breathable bumper. When I put it on the crib, it looked very nice and while my daughter was little and imobile, it was very useful. As soon as she began to roll around, about 4 months, I would wake in the night to screams...her litttle arms and legs would get caught in the spacing of the crib, up and over the bumper! She would roll and turn while sleeping and apparently her limbs would lift over the bumper and the bumper would crumble under the light pressure of a babies arm. I have since bought the Carter's brand bumper and I am happy. It stands up to her limbs and no more limbs get caught. Great idea, but bumper needs work.
