(More customer reviews)I looked at a lot of memory foam toppers before purchasing this one. You basically need to know two things before buying...what thickness you need and what density...your weight and preferred sleep position play into choosing the correct memory foam thickness and density.
I had a back and neck injury that left me unable to sleep comfortably. I've had this mattress topper for a couple of weeks now and it has been a real lifesaver for me. I am not only comfortable, but I often wake up in the same position that I fell asleep in...and I don't get out of bed with a cracking/creaking neck and back like I used to.
Like other memory foam toppers, there is a mild odor to the material, but it is very, very mild. Not strong like I've seen reported in reviews of other toppers.
The mattress cover that comes with the topper is nothing special. Just extra deep to accommodate the memory foam.

I'll probably never sleep on it so I won't attempt to compare it to my $1500 Tempurpedic. I picked this particular manufacturer because the dimensions for some competitor's products for "full" size were smaller and closer to a "twin" size. Before I even received it I got a post card from All Sleep to contact them if there were any problems at all. Nice touch! After letting the pad decompress for several hours the first thing I noticed was that the advertised 2 inches was actually 1 3/4 inches. For some reason All Sleep uses the same measuring system as lumber. After reading reviews on similar products I was expecting to have to leave this pad in my garage to air out for several days but, in fact, this product had no detectable odor (to me). As for quality, it is not an especially dense memory foam but certainly adequate. Overall, the Soft Sleeper 5.5 appears to be a quality product. My daughter visited over the Christmas holiday and told me this mattress topper "made all the difference in the world"!

(More customer reviews)I received this set 3 days ago and I've never slept as comfortable as I did this past 2 nights! There are some pros and cons tho in buying this memory foam:
1) The set arrived in a box and the foam was wrapped in plastic to keep it from 'inflating'. I suggest you open the box, remove the plastic wrap and allow the foam to 'breathe' right away so you can use it after 3-5 hours. That will remove the bad odor of the foam and have it to its real size.
2) The memory foam mattress pad was amazing. It made my semi-sunken at the middle mattress so soft and almost flat. Plus my shoulders and neck does not hurt as much anymore when I sleep on my side.
3) The pad was a little small than I expected tho. I purchased the full size pad and it is about 4- 6 inches less in width and 5-8 inches less in length compared to my full sized mattress.
4) I have to admit, the 2 pillows suck. As I quote my boyfriend, they are like pancakes that can easily get squished to flatness. So if you have the option to get the same mattress pad without the 2 pillows for a cheaper price, go get it.
Just sharing my rants and raves for this product. I hope this will help you decide.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this for my wife when she was pregnant and suffering from back pain. It made a great difference and she sleeps much better now. I would strongly recommend it for someone who has a standard mattress that isn't doing the job, but doesn't want to replace the whole thing. It was certainly much more cost effective than buying an entire new mattress. I find it very comfortable as well.
Things to be aware of:
1. Do the research and find out what factors go into how well a foam mattress or mattress topper supports you. This is very important. The Cloud9 manufacturer web site has a good overview of how you should determine what density and thickness of mattress is right for you at [...]. There are other sources of advice on the Internet if you search for them.
2. Basically, the manufacturer indicates that the density (3.4/4.3/5.3) and the thickness of the topper should be considered in combination. If you weigh more than 250lbs you probably ought to be looking at the four inch topper for the extra support and pressure point relief. The 5.3 density will make that support firmer and you won't sink into the topper quite so much. If you weigh less you might achieve the same results with a thinner topper, and get away with a less dense one also if you like a softer feel.
2. Bear in mind that a four inch topper will add that much to the height of the mattress. You may need to get some new bedding.
3. This product is stinky to start with. It smells, well, rubbery, and needs a good bit of airing to get rid of it. I found Febreeze helped as well. A water proof mattress cover might help also. The smell does wear off eventually.
4. The vendor charges a fifteen percent disposal fee if you return the product within thirty days. I considered this an adequate risk and found I did not need to use the service.

(More customer reviews)After reading reviews of other toppers I was worried it wouldn't be wide enough for our king size mattress. It covers it edge to edge and may be only an inch short on the length, I'm happy with that. Topper arrived earlier than promised in good shape. It puffed up to it's full 4 inches in no time. We aired it in the basement on day one and the back porch in the sun on day two. Chemical smell seemed to be gone until we put it in the bedroom. It's been a week and we can still smell it. Not enough to keep us awake but we just don't like the odor, my husband thinks it smells like cigarettes. I just smell chemical odor. We bought it to cover a hard mattress and it certianly is more cushy but still feels firm. We can't say we have uninterupped sleep but you don't feel your partners movement as much. Four inches makes a big difference, feels like we have to climb into bed. With a broken rib it's hard to lift myself out of the bed topper but I do sleep easier on the topper than on the mattress only. We don't have one of the cheaper toppers so we can't compare,but this seems to be good quality. Grabbing by the edges to carry upstairs it felt solid with no tearing. After reading other topper reviews I expected a HUGE difference in our sleep comfort. It's better, but I don't know if it's $300.00+ better, that may be the rib though.

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased a new mattress, and once it was delivered I realized it was too firm for side sleepers. After having a feather bed for years and wanting to try something different I decided on this fiber-bed. It is super thick and fluffy. The stitching does keep the batting in place, however out of the bag it did feel almost a little lumpy because it had so much stuffing in each square. After some fluffing and evening out of the fiber, it's a comfortable mattress topper. Very fluffy and soft, almost like sleeping on a bed covered with pillows, and I suppose thats the whole point!
One note of caution to people in warmer climates: it's super hot! Luckily I live in a cold climate so it's nice during the winter, but it's likely that I will have to remove it during the summer as it ends up traping a lot of your body heat.
