Memory Loft Fiberbed Size: King Review

(More customer reviews)We are living in a furnished apartment, awaiting the completion of our new house, so we're sleeping on horribly hard beds right now. To remedy the situation, I ordered this fiberbed. Because the title read "Memory Loft," I automatically thought it was like Memory Foam. That, it is not. It's more like a really full down comforter.
It definitely made the bed way more comfortable. I'm not hurting when I wake up anymore.
A few cons, though. One, I ordered the King so we could use it on our king bed in the new house. We're sleeping on queens here now. It isn't much bigger than the queen bed, so I'm wondering how well it's going to fit the king. It moves around a lot, too. I don't think I move that much in my sleep so I COULD be the problem, or it could also be because I have a king size fiberbed on a queen size mattress.
The only other thing is, because it's like a down comforter and not memory foam, you do have to fluff it every now and then. It definitely flattens out when you sleep on it for a week or so. But really, that's not much of a sacrifice for a nice comfy bed.
I'll update this when we get it on our king size bed and see how it really works.

Sleep Better 2-Inch Extra Firm Mattress Topper Review

(More customer reviews)I have a european platform bed with a single mattress supported by wooden slats... Love the bed and the original mattress, which was designed for a platform bed, still does it's job in spite of the fact that I originally wanted a foam mattress and never purchased one.
The current mattress is still supportive but not nearly what I needed with an increasingly arthritic back.
I discovered by sleeping on the foam mattress in my trailer that I slept much better, with no pain and woke up with a far stronger back that I didn't have walk the pain out of, for 2 hours, after waking, when I slept on the firm, foam trailer mattress.
I was about to bite the bullet and purchase a firm, latex, foam 700 dollar mattress for my bed at home when I found this item.
It arrived with some odor so I aired it outside for 5 days before taking it indoors. The odor was gone by that point. The minimal sun exposure turned one side the amber color, like in the photo above while the unexposed side stayed white. My bed is now uniformly very firm and feels like a new, latex foam mattress. No lumps, bumps, uneven spots or uneven firmness.. Perfect in every way.... I now wake up, -- SPRING up, ---happy and pain free. One review here said that the topper was so firm that, if put on the floor, the person's body weight wouldn't cause the topper to depress enough so that the weight pressed through to the floor...
I was somewhat concerned about that review because it sounded just waaaaay too soft. I'm happy to report, that for a 190 pound male,.... the topper doesn't even squish a quarter inch with my full weight upon it..It is as EXTRA firm as anyone will EVER find in a foam topper....
Highly recommended.........!!!

(More customer reviews)I received this item just 8 days after ordering it. Great shipping! We opened it up and laid it on our bed which was great. Then we opended up the pillows. At first it was a bunch of little bits of memory foam and I didnt understand how we were expected to sleep on it. However, within a few hours they filled up the whole pillow and it is absolutely amazing! My husband doesn't care for it because it is really fluffy but I love how I sink into it but it still supports me. The whole bed is really supportive and has taken my back pain away. I threw this on top of a flimsy mattress and it still feels amazing!

(More customer reviews)Love this product! I bought a $1000 pillow topper mattress 2 years ago. After a little time had past, I felt like I was sinking into it causing back & neck pain. I am not the biggest guy in the world either 185 pounds 5'11". I couldn't sleep at all and I didn't want to spend another $300 on memory foam. I did my research and found this product which is a firm memory foam and perfect in every way. My wife and I love it. I sleep like a baby. If you're not sleeping throughout most of the night and you wake up in pain; your entire day sucks. A little hint if you have the same problem I had. Flip your mattress over & then put your 3" extra firm foam on there, even if it's a pillow topper. It'll feel like a new bed. Also, just a side bar...when you go to put your sheets on because it's an extra 3" added to the mattress. Just get the fitted sheet around all 4 corners of the foam first, then pull down around the mattress. I actually look forward to going to bed again. Best of luck! Highly recommend this product. (More customer reviews)I bought this because I absolutely needed something that could compensate for the worst mattresses ever made, the college dorm mattresses, (The one I was sleeping on actually has a tag that says prison industries!!!) Without a doubt this made up for the horrible mattress that I was sleeping on. This gave me plenty of support in the areas that I needed it. (I sometimes have problems with my back).
There are a few things that you have to consider when choosing one of these, besides the size. One is your susceptibility to the cold. This product is great for people who easily get cold in bed because it will keep you quite warm. If you live in a consistently warm climate you might want to give any thicker mattress foam a pass because this really does keep you warm, and supposedly the thicker it gets the warmer your body stays.
There is one drawback to purchasing this which will affect you for at least a few months. That is the smell. It was the most common complaint that I read about before I bought this product. Although describing a smell is like describing a colour, I will say this about the smell. Try to imagine a cleaning product type of smell that is, at first, very pungent, and I do mean very pungent. For some reason the materials used in making this create this smell. When you take it out of the box your first reaction is that there is no way you'll keep this and you are going to send it back in tomorrows post. However, it is recommended that you let it air out for at least 24 to 36 hours. I let mine air out in my parent's garage for 72 hours and to be honest it really doesn't matter how long you air it out the smell is going to be quite noticeable when it is on, underneath the sheets and you are standing off the bed, for at least a few weeks. While in bed you will have a faint smell for a few months. I am sure you are wondering then why it is that I gave it five stars. Although it has an odor, I did get used to it and even though it was very strong to begin with, I found that it was manageable. I have had it through two girlfriends (consecutive, girlfriends that is) and neither of them were too bothered to mention that it had a bad smell or that it interfered with either of their sleep. To me its worth living with the smell in order to receive the benefits of how it feels sleeping on this. The reason I spent so much time on the smell is because that seemed to be a very big concern for many people and I think it becomes a matter of personal preference in the end. Knowing what I know now about this product, I would but it again without any reservations.
It is unbelievably comfortable to sleep on. My only regret is that I gave it to my last girlfriend for her dorm room last fall. She loves it and I know I'm not getting that back. She actually told me recently that it had improved her sleep. I know that it improved mine. Using this product I did experience less pain in the morning and I didn't toss as much as I do without it.
A great thing about this product is that it retains its shape for a very long time and so far after two years has not seemed to degrade at all, as far as I can tell. I initially expected it to degrade by becoming flatter over time or thin out in certain spots (like the area around the hips or butt because of the constant pressure on the foam from that area of the body) but I have not noticed that at all.

(More customer reviews)I bought this topper after doing a lot of online research to replace an old, tired memory foam mattress topper we'd used for years. This foam is noticeably denser, and the four-inch depth is perfect for both me and my husband. The foam returns to its original shape fairly quickly, so you don't have to worry too much about rolling back into a cavern if you move around. My husband and I also don't notice if the other one moves around a lot on sleepless nights, since this topper effectively neutralizes all vibration.
The worst part about this pad is that it does add four inches to your mattress of course, so make sure your sheets and mattress cover can accommodate. Oh, and it's far too hard to get out of bed in the morning, since it's so comfortable -- but I can live with that.

(More customer reviews)I gave this product quite a while before I decided to review it. This mattress pad/cover is amazing!
The top 2" is a foofy pillow top. The fabric is very, very soft; so soft that I'm still only using the mattress cover and not a sheet. Not to mention how much my cats love the feel of the fabric, as well. They will go out of their way to sleep on the non-comforter area of the bed now because it's so cushy. The pillow top portion really lets you sink into the second 2".
The bottom 2" is a memory foam. It's very conformal and fits around your body nicely; it feels like being wrapped in a glove (to a point).
The rest of the mattress pad wraps around either just your mattress or your mattress and box spring; I have both. This creates a nicer, sleeker look for my bed. And unlike other mattress pads, it engulfs the entire bed and doesn't slip off. It's a nice, tight fit that extends well beyond the sides of the mattress and box spring.
I've used a mattress pad on my bed before for years, but I've never known comfort like this. Very well done, delivers what it promises! Get ready to have the best night's sleep possible on a standard mattress!
