(More customer reviews)I recently purchased a new mattress, and once it was delivered I realized it was too firm for side sleepers. After having a feather bed for years and wanting to try something different I decided on this fiber-bed. It is super thick and fluffy. The stitching does keep the batting in place, however out of the bag it did feel almost a little lumpy because it had so much stuffing in each square. After some fluffing and evening out of the fiber, it's a comfortable mattress topper. Very fluffy and soft, almost like sleeping on a bed covered with pillows, and I suppose thats the whole point!
One note of caution to people in warmer climates: it's super hot! Luckily I live in a cold climate so it's nice during the winter, but it's likely that I will have to remove it during the summer as it ends up traping a lot of your body heat.
