What I love about these blankets other then the fact that it
reduces the risk of Sids, is there are so many sizes, designs
and colors to choose from (Newborn-Toddler)
We haven't had any problem with these Halo sleep sacks.
They are very durable, cozy, and very easy to bundle around
your sweet little one.
Our daughter is always warm and cozy while using these blankets,
so we are also reassured that she wont be cold through out the
night.
I would recommend this to anyone and everyone.. including

In chilly weather, this sleepsack along with a long-sleeved Onesie really helps keep a baby warm enough to sleep, but with enough air circulation around their legs to be comfortable. Material is loose around the legs for movement, but the design makes the product safe as it can't come off around the baby's face. Highly recommended.

I personally never used the swaddle wrap... just took it off and can use the sleep sack as is since I could no longer find sleep sacks without the swaddle option. Zips from bottom to top which is smart for late night diaper checks/changes. Only downside is the fabric pills after the first couple of washings and now (2 months later) looks pretty banged up :( but she will be out of it once this cold winter ends soon.

(More customer reviews)The Halo sleepsack swaddle is a convenient way to swaddle and put the baby back to sleep after a 2AM or 3AM diaper change, but my baby boy has been able to break out of the sleepsack with the velcro wraps on numerous occasions. With his arms free my baby is able to fling his arms around and wake himself up in his sleep. I have had more success with using a standard swaddle blanket using a swaddle technique which I learned at the McMoyler Method baby care class. The other drawback with the sleepsack is while doing laundry, the velcro tends to want to attach itself to everything in the wash even if it is placed in a lingerie laundry bag. Can be a hassle/time consuming to either hand wash or wash the velcro wraps seperately from the baby laundry.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the pink Swaddle SleepSack yesterday in hopes to find a solution to my 8 week old (who LOVES to be swaddled) getting frustrated when she kicks off her blankets (she "dances" when she has gas or needs to do her business) in her sleep. We have a "swaddle me" blanket, but she always manages to get her arms out and then gets annoyed that she isn't comfortable anymore.
Emily-Marie has never slept through the night. UNTIL LAST NIGHT.
We had been out all day and I figured I might as well put her in this for her afternoon nap, since we had it. I gave her a bath, and did her normal sleepy-time routine, swaddling her in this, rather than using blankets.
THAT WAS 3PM. IT IS NOW 7AM AND SHE IS JUST NOW WAKING UP.
I've had to wake her up each time I needed to nurse her, and i even changed her diaper 3 times (the reverse zipper is great, I don't have to get her out!) since the start of her "nap".
Believe me, I will be getting the blue and cream colors too, just to have them on hand. I LOVE that this is a 3-in-1 product (arms in/swaddled; arms out/swaddled; slumbersack/ no swaddle) and I LOVE that she sleeps so well in it!
Too bad they don't make one for grownups!

(More customer reviews)This product was probably the best money I spent on my son. I had learned how to do an extremely effective swaddle with just a normal blanket, not knowing these existed. This just made life so much easier. As for the other review's criticism of the suffocation hazard, I think there are ways to avoid it. My son was also able to get his arms out, particularly once he got older, but they always went over the wings, not under, so it wasn't a suffocation hazard. Basically, if you velcro it extremely tightly (and any swaddle worth doing, regardless of technique should be), and do it such that it is low enough (top of wings roughly even with the top of the baby's bicep), you should be fine. It's important to remember that you're trying to pin their arms to their sides, which means you can put the wing part pretty low, and it will make it harder for them to escape, and more likely that went they do, they escape with their arms above the wings.
This had such a huge impact on my son's sleep. And while we tried to wean him from it earlier, he continued to need it until he was about 5 months old. There's no way I could have swaddled him until he was that old, b/c the blankets just weren't big enough, and he was too strong. That meant that this product allowed us to ensure that he continued sleeping for 12 hours/night.

(More customer reviews)I live in Arizona and like the sleeveless sleep blankets so this one is nice. The fabric is quality and the top-down zipper is a plus. The only problem I had was the size. My little girl is 5 months old and pretty long so I ordered the 6-12 month one (Medium) but it's huge. There is at least 5 inches from her feet to the bottom and it slides up on her a little bit. It's not that big a deal but I just wish the online sizing chart were more accurate. Here is the Halo sizing information from the product itself:
x small (newborn)- 19-23" up to 10 lbs
small (up to 6 months)- 23-26", 10-18 lbs
medium (6-12 months)- 26-30", 15-24 lbs
large (12-18 months)- 30-35", 22-28 lbs
xlarge (18-24 months)- 35-40", 26-36 lbs
Overall, it's a great product and the perfect solution for babies under 1.

The fleece sleep sac I bought was too warm, the cotton sac was too cool, but the VELBOA sleep sac was just right! Whatever this material is it's great and washes well. (More customer reviews)We love this wearable blanket so much that we bought every kind. They are wonderful. First I must say that they, obviously, do not confine the arms, so if your baby still gets startled by her jerky arm movements when trying to fall asleep he/she may not be ready for this yet. I am slowly making the transition from the Miracle Blanket over to this. My baby still needs the extra swaddling at night and when she is fussy, but she likes the freedom during her naps that this provides and likes to get at her fingers too.
I did not find that my cotton sleep sack shrank. The zipper doesn't lay exactly flat on her, but I haven't found this a problem at all.
I do feel the sizes run a bit small. My baby is wearing the small size and at 23" has just about outgrown it. I'd recommend getting them one size above what you think you need.
I don't like that there are no arm sleeves at all. I really would have liked the choice of putting her in one with or without sleeves.
This cotton is so nice and light (I wonder if the other reviewer was reviewing a fleece, flannel or quilted one instead) that I can't imagine it being any lighter without being to fragle to hold together.
I very much like that the zipper is "upside down". It undoes from the bottom which means you don't have to completely unzip your baby for diaper changes and the zipper tab doesn't poke into the baby's chin.
