(More customer reviews)since my daughter spends so many hours in her bed, i wanted a mattress cover that i was confident wouldn't have any off-gassing of chemicals that she would be breathing through the night. this is not a cheap product, but was worth it for the peace of mind. we've only been using it a couple months, but it is high quality and seems very durable. also, it's soft and doesn't make any crinkly noises like some of the vinyl pads.
