The brown and off-white colors are accurate in the photo; the contrast gold color is a soft gold and not as bright as pictured. This was a plus for us as the color combo is quite elegant. The comforter fits our king size bed well and the dark color doesn't show the pet hair as much as I thought it would. Also, the comforter is a good weight for us, thick but not too thick. I really like the shams and accent pillows -- they highlight the comforter nicely and take it from boring to interesting.

(More customer reviews)Overall I am very happy with the product as far as looks as what you get for the money -- and I'm especially happy how the comforter doesn't slide off the bed so easily like my previous one did. The only drawback I've found in the few months I've owned it is that any liquid except water leaves a very obvious mark -- like if you're dumb enough to dribble toothpaste or a soft drink on it. It all washes off fine in the laundry though, so it's not like anything permanent happens.

I gave this 4 stars because the customer service at king linen was so helpful and even sent out the replacements via fed ex immediately once I was able to take a picture with my cell phone and email it to them for proof of the damage. I did not even have to return the damaged comforter.

I fully expected to be disappointed and I am certainly not only not disappointed but I will plan to order more products like this on the internet. I do have to say that the issue in ordering something like a comforter set is risky primarily because you don't know exactly what the color will be; the color represented in the picture is not the color you get; I did look at these reviews before I purchased this item and someone said the comforter had more green in it and this person was right; it was the exact color I wanted. it would be nice however if the picture was more representative of the actual color. I highly recommend this product

(More customer reviews)In all the pictures, the fabric is cinched into a diamond pattern, but my comforter is much more flat. Also, the picture looks more gray or bronze, but my comforter is the color of milk chocolate--a Reese's cup. It's a nice enough comforter for the price ($70), but I'm already buying a different comforter (I've had it for about a year). Half of my reasoning is because this comforter always looks wrinkled and the diamond pattern is virtually non-existent; the other half is because I've decided I'm sick of brown and I want a purple theme. If someone were to ask me what color they should get for this comforter, I'd suggest white.
