It's lightweight and has a really nice pattern to it & the wires are hardly noticeable, instead of the usual electric blanket fuzzy look with wires obviously bulging. And it's WARM!! The last one I had I would turn on and set to the highest setting and *still* had to put a duvet over it to stay warm all night, but this one is spectacularly toasty at a medium setting and with nothing else needed to hold the heat in. I HIGHLY recommend this! Cats love it, too. :-)
