(More customer reviews)I can't count how much time and money I've spent on guest beds over the years. Our spare room is very small and set up primarily for sewing. In an effort to equip it for overnight guests without moving out all the sewing stuff, I've purchased, then given away, bunk beds, a queen-sized Aero bed, two twin air mattresses, and a conventional queen-sized mattress with frame. Nothing worked. The bunkbeds and air beds saved space but weren't comfortable for more than a night, especially for adult sleepers. The queen bed hogged up every extra inch of floor space and there was no way to get it out of the way when we didn't have guests. I finally decided to look for a bed with trundle, even though it was a pretty hefty expenditure compared to my previous purchases. I had four requirements. 1.) At least one bed had to be a twin xl size (my daughter is 6' tall). 2.) The lower bed had to pop up to regular height (most adults don't care to sleep at floor level). 3.) The beds had to be individual units, so I could position them together or apart. 4.) The beds had to have substantial "real" mattresses--not the thinner ones typically found on bunk beds and standard trundles. After much research I ordered the Alize Hi-Riser from CSN Stores. Happy to say the beds are exactly as described, and they serve my purpose beautifully. Am using 3" mattress toppers on them (have to remove the topper from trundle unit for storage so it will fit under the bed). Twin XL bedding fits the top unit; regular twin-size bedding fits the trundle unit. These are near-orthopedic quality mattresses, firm and very comfortable (especially with the toppers) and a superb value. The pop-up unit is smooth and responsive--you can raise and lower it with one hand. The whole thing fits beautifully in our little room and I still have space to sew. Can't say enough about the service from CSN Stores: they delivered exactly as promised. I'm finally happy with our guestroom arrangements.
