The interior compartment is of average size - I cannot carry large or long toys in it, but it does well with average size books, several small toys, and small stuffed animals. For a cute way to tote around baby items, I would recommend this bag.
I bought a Puff the Magic Dragon book to go along with this bag - my son enjoys reading about Puff and then having this fun bag to look at! A Puff book and bag combination would make a great gift for a young child, especially for boys.
