(More customer reviews)I enjoy using this sand for the bottom of my hermit crab cage. It's easy to tell when you need to add water to it because it kind of 'goes flat' when there's not any water in it. It's not the easiest to dig into either for the crabs, and as this is pretty important for them, I would recommend another substance for the other half to keep them happy. This is also a great way to give them their needs for calcium without having to worry about your calcium rock getting soggy or moldy.
