(More customer reviews)We took a chance on this bed knowing that it was very inexpensive compared to similar pieces. The gamble paid off. This bed was easy to assemble, is made of nice quality metal, and looks very classy. Even before the mattress was in place, the whole thing felt very solid. I laugh a little that it was purchased for a 4-year-old, but now I know he has a bed that will last him a very long time. It is also very much a unisex style, adding to its versatility.

The Helix bed has a very austere industrial look.Square tube is used for the frames of the 52-Inch HB and the 32-Inch FB, with a twist in the center of the top rails adding just a touch of whimsy.The round spindles are locked in place as the straddle two square rails with a small dough-boy knob resting over the castings.The design is plain and simple, but striking.The finish is Copper Chrome, an amalgam of copper, silver and black - giving the bed the look of unfinished steel from a distance.It's a great contemporary design.
