Unfortunately he doesn't like to sit when another kid is around, but he has been using this chair all the time when he's playing on his own at the kiddie table. This chair comes with separate strap and can be used as bolster seat but I haven't had him try it. These chairs are very easy for toddler to operate, we always store it in his room and he can carry and set it up in front TV when he'd like to watch some DVD. It is quite practical to bring to the beach or picnic, not to mention it's really really cute.
Off topic: I originally ordered this from the Hoobbobbers shop in Chicago, but the calculated shipping cost to Hawaii was more than the 2 chairs itself! Thanks to Super Saver Shipping, yes it did take longer than when I was in mainland but this what makes me keep on coming back to Amazon.
