My father in law worked when young in the fabric manufacturing business and has always praised fabric with higher threadcount (something I would have otherwise never paid attention to). Let me tell you, these sheets are awesome. They almost look silky (although I personally wouldn't buy silk bed linens), but they are very comfortable, soft and seem to be good at regulating temperature. I think they are worth the money and have found this purchase to be very satisfactory.
