Initially I found it much to hard compared to what I was used to, but after a week or so I became used to it and found that the support it provides is actually rather comfortable. I'm not moving my head as much when I sleep, which means I'm sleeping a little more soundly. However I also noticed that the pillow tends to firm up the cooler the room is--it softens with body heat but the initial contact with the cold pillow isn't exactly cushy.
