I didn't, and I've had to wash mine numerous times and in the 10 months I've had it, it's faded a ton, and I've now just replaced it with some other crib sheets with no design. This crib sheet is great to go along with the decor of your nursery, but it's not a very soft and comfy sheet, even after washing it numerous times! It does the job, and the baby knows nothing of soft and comfy, and my girl has slept fine on it for 10 months now. But I think I'm enjoying my brown velour crib sheet much, much more! And it won't fade!
