This may sound weird, but I wanted a blanket that conforms to my body, so that there aren't gaps where cold air flows in. This blanket is rather 'stiff'; it doesn't really wrap around you. Otherwise, it looks great on the bed; fabric feels very nice; quality is very good. Plenty warm.
