I mean, I have a microfiber couch and a microfiber purse, and I couldn't imagine sheets out of either of those things. But these were the patterned sheets I wanted for my son's first real bed...so I tried them.
Right out of the package, they felt weird. Kind of like...microfiber. :) It actually felt like the outside of my purse, but softer. The sheets washed well and felt even better after washing--they are soft and have a kind of sheen to them but they aren't slippery.
Other points? The background color is gray/gray-blue, not purple as it looks in the photo. The sheets are plenty big enough--they fit the full bed well--actually with room to spare. Since these are on our 2yo son's first "big boy" bed, we were worried he might roll out accidentally, so we put rolled blankets and stuffed animals around the edges of the bed...and the sheets fit with no problem. The sheets aren't pulled tight, either, as my son moves around a lot and there's a lot of room for give.
I'd easily recommend these sheets until further notice. :)
