(More customer reviews)I had many plans over the past year to make my own canopy for my almost 4 year old daughter's "big girl bed," but I didn't get around to it. When we finally got around to possibly buying materials to do this, I realized that I had no idea what I was doing and that it would be a lot of work and money to get the soft netting we wanted.
When I found this online I did see low ratings on some from the same company, but after reading the feedback/review I saw the real issue was that the company sent the wrong product to those people, it wasn't the actual product that was faulted.
I got exactly what I saw online and it is perfect for my daughter. It's really large, it's soft and long, there is lace detail around the opening, and the gathering and ribbon along the top are the perfect touch. There is opportunity to add more to the ribbons, which we plan to do, but it's really nice just the way it is.
The very top tented part is a tent/nylon material and it has two of those long thin things you use for play tents that you criss-cross along the top. There is a ribbon to tie the "poles" up in the center. It comes with a sturdy hook too.
My daughter loves this. She and her twin brother spent the first day whipping it open and closed, stepping all over it and pulling on it and it didn't rip or anything. Obviously it's a delicate fabric so I would recommend rough housing, but you know how kids are.
