I was incredibly impressed when I opened them up and saw how heavy they were and the quality of the weave. I have no doubt these will not only protect the mattresses but keep out any sort of bug/mites. The weave is extremely fine and the material is heavy and course. I had a difficult time finding the zipper as it's so well made and the zipper is so fine, it's well hidden. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with my purchase and would recommend this product to anyone in need of a mattress encasement.
